About this service
From its beginning, Forward House has been a residential Christian rehabilitation centre for men who have experienced marginalization, incarceration, homelessness, addictions, and mental health issues. Applicants come to us from the courts, addiction centres, parole services, and community ministries and agencies.
Extensive screening is carried out by our Executive Director, together with references from referring agencies and individuals to ensure they meet our criteria for admission and residency. We do not accept applications from individuals with a record of violence, sex crimes, or individuals still using alcohol or illicit drugs.
New applicants must commit to a minimum of six months, including thorough assessments being done, and a program established to address their needs. This will include courses, counselling sessions, therapy sessions, and responsibilities.
