About this service
Counselling is offered by Social Workers for all ages and all cultures and are intended to strengthen families and youth who have experienced domestic violence and abuse, trauma through individual or family therapy.
The objectives of the programs are to promote violence free environment through personal growth and self-reliance for adults, children and families so that they can attain their full potential. In addition the program aims at providing access to resources & referral to other government stakeholders and community-based organizations.
Empowering family with healthy coping tools enhance the healthy development of children youth at risk when early experiences at home at school do not provide adequate care, secure relationships, and educational experiences needed to build social and learning skills.
The programs include crisis and long-term individual counselling sessions, psycho-educational group workshop sessions, trauma therapy and mental wellness.
