About this service
For immigrant women impacted by domestic violence / abuse.
Provides 1-on-1 support, facilitated by a SHADE case worker. One or multiple sessions, as needed. Interpreters available.

Psychosocial counselling
Identifying areas of pain and hurt that are caused over the duration of abusive relationships and work carefully toward a path of recovery.
Provide clients with the necessary support required to begin their healing process and move on in self-determination.
Address mental, physical, and social issues.
Practical support
Customized to the situation of each client, identifying particular needs to be addressed
Support in accessing public and private resources:
- housing, financial assistance, transportation
- Education and employment readiness
- Children school enrolment and daycare
Awareness of legal supports and information
Advocacy in communicating with other agencies
