About this service
CTS provides fly-in Physiotherapy (PT) services to residents living in several First Nations communities in northern Manitoba. The ten First Nations communities that CTS services include: St. Theresa Point; Wasagamack; Garden Hill; Red Sucker Lake; Norway House; Berens River; Poplar River, Bloodvein; Little Grand Rapids and Pauingassi. CTS also provides PT services to Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson. Many of these communities are accessible only by plane and ice roads during the winter.
CTS PTs provide consultative services for musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiorespiratory conditions. PTs are involved in prescribing medical equipment for clients which includes, but is not limited to, aids to daily to living, braces and transfer and mobility aids. PTs offer in-service education to other health care disciplines based on the needs of the facility.
