About this service
When a child is in need of protection and comes into the care of the agency, we find another place for that child to live. This could be an extended family member, foster home, group care, a treatment facility or independent living for those nearing adulthood. Most often, alternative care is temporary while the family works to solve the problems that led to the children coming into care.
It is always our goal to find a placement for a child that meets his or her physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs.
Foster Parent Recruitment and Support
Most children coming into care can do well living with a supportive foster family. We are always looking for families that can become part of our circle of care team. Recruiting Aboriginal families is a priority.
