About this organization
WASAC ensures that all participants have the necessary "tools" required for active participation. These "tools" remove the barriers that hinder participation and help provide access to support and resources. Two coaches who shared a love for sports recognized that its not just about speed and agility but friendships, life lessons, and memories that last forever. The goal was to embrace the pride of Winnipegs Indigenous children, youth and families through sport, culture and recreation. WASAC currently offers year round programming for thousands of children and youth in Winnipeg and in Northern communities in Manitoba.
