About this organization
With support from Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED), Computers for Schools offers a technical work experience program. This program helps ease the transition between education and employment for Manitoba youth.
We provide about 28 weeks of work experience for approximately 14 youth at any given time.
Students gain supervised, hands-on experience developing the following technical skills:
Erasing, formatting, installing and testing hard drives and software
Using diagnostic tools and software
Safely dismantling computers for salvageable parts
Preparing e-waste for shipping to certified recyclers
Document management, among other marketable technical skills
Practical workplace skills:
Teamwork
Project Management
Time management
Who can use it?
Canadian citizens between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) eligible to work in Canada

Computers for Schools Manitoba - Winnipeg TWEP Program is open Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
