Respite Care is temporary relief for regular caregivers and has been shown to relieve stress and burnout, many times delaying or preventing long term care placement. Respite care in a personal care home includes help with personal care, medications and management of chronic illnesses. Access to a respite care bed in other health centres is subject to availability.
