About this organization
The Leisure Centre provides a safe and welcoming gathering place for seniors or anyone within the community who wishes to join in for coffee, cards, shuffle board, crockinole, etc.
- 6 mornings a week from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. the Leisure Centre offers a safety net for their memberships. If a regular member does not show and no one is aware of the whereabouts of that member, they will look into the situation to make sure they are safe.
- Monday nights offer community cards 500, whist, military whist, spades and euchre.
- Once a month there is a potluck supper held for groups and organizations that provide services for seniors and the community.
Anyone visiting the Village of Elkhorn is welcome to drop by. The Leisure Centers commitment to the future is to remain an intricate part of Elkhorn by being involved with young people through a yearly bursary and with the seniors in many different ways.
