About this service
The Pas Committee for Women in Crisis operates two facilities- Aurora House, the emergency shelter, and My Sister's House (a small apartment complex for women establishing themselves in a violence free life). Incorporated in 1982 our agency addresses domestic violence in the Norman region, through support and education. In order to sustain our operations we look to you, the community, to assist us by means of donations of cash, resources and volunteer time. We accept most household items and clothing, but do pass on surpluses to other charities due to our limited storage or convert some items to cash. The emergency shelter operates 24/7, throughout the year. a 24 hour crisis line is operated and we refer calls beyond our domestic violence mandate.
