About this service
Therapy Animals Involved in Literacy Skills (or TAILS) is a free, motivational, confidence building, low stress canine-assisted reading program for children who are experiencing difficulties with reading. This program does not teach children how to read, but does create a low stress environment for them to practice their reading out loud skills. It often helps improve both reading confidence and reading levels throughout the course of the program.
This program provided by the partnership with St. John Ambulances Animal Therapy Service Volunteers.
