About this organization
This is a service for the seniors and handicapped in Oak Lake and Area. This service is provided by the local Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion.
There is no cost to those who require service to church in Oak Lake on Sundays.
Clients who are receiving transportation for medical appointments MUST be accompanied by a facility escort or qualified person approved by the facility. The Oak Lake and Area Handivan transportation program will be responsible for client loading and unloading, transportation and assistance into the medical facility. The driver WILL NOT be responsible for client care measures during medical appointments or during transportation to and from the medical appointment (example: medication delivery, dressing care/change, blood sugar testing). Driver standby fees will be charged for the time that the driver is waiting for charter clients.
