About this service
Gardening Portage is a non-profit organization for gardeners in the City of Portage la Prairie and surrounding community. It is the lead for the Citys Manitoba Communities in Bloom entry; facilitates its various programs and volunteer opportunities including the Yard of the Week competition.
During the winter months of the year, Gardening Portage organizes gardening workshops and talks for community residents to attend.
Each summer the PCRC plants and cares for small garden boxes in downtown Portage la Prairie. A variety of fresh greens, tomatoes, carrots and other vegetables await the lucky passerby!
