About this organization
The Pioneers Museum offers a great display of artifacts describing life in the late 1800s and early 1900s. You can learn about the first doctor, the first veterinarian and the founder of Notre-Dame. With models of the train station and a 1920s kitchen, you really step into a life from long ago.
Half of the museum is dedicated to the "Chanoinesses, better known as "Les Soeurs du Sauveur, an order of religious women who came from France to help establish our flourishing community. The model of a schoolroom where the nuns taught shows their importance to our community as well as photos showing all the activities they lead and artwork they created. This museum is a tribute to their education and apostolic work and ensures they will long be remembered.
