About this service
CFWR on behalf of Employment Manitoba administers the Self-Employment Program (SE) for the North Eastman region. The program provides an opportunity for unemployed individuals who are currently on an active E.I. Benefit, or are eligible for E.I. or have had an E.I. claim within the past five years, or a maternity/paternity claim within the past five years, to start their own business while collecting their employment insurance benefits. SE clients work with our Business Development Officer who assists them with a business plan, marketing, financial analysis and counselling/monitoring for the full term they are on the program.
