About this organization
Cartwright Community Volunteers is a local group which organizes the rink canteen and also takes on catering jobs such as luncheons, funeral teas and wedding receptions. Catering is usually done from the hall or drop-in centre.
All community members are called on from time to time by the CCV to bring food to, or work at an event that is being catered, or to work in the rink canteen for a shift. All of the organizing and work is done by unpaid volunteers for the benefit of the community. Proceeds go to support the rink and the hall, and other community facilities or projects as needed.
