1,807 of 4,115 communities have at least one listing, home to 91.8% of the people in the communities on this site. Updated September 2026.

How coverage is measured

Communities
Every census subdivision in the 2021 census, 5,161 in all, plus 6 older codes that listings still carry, except the 1,052 that Navigi does not publish under its First Nations data policy. 209 of the 4,115 published are counted but never flagged as gaps: the territories, hamlets and places with no recorded population. Each community page lists its nearest communities with listings.

A community's listings divided by its 2021 population, times 10,000. Canada as a whole: 29.2.
Gap
A community of 1,000 people or more with no listings, or with fewer listings per 10,000 residents than a third of its province's median. Today: 957 communities with 5,679,965 residents, 711 of them with no listing at all.
