About this service
Durrant Transition House will embrace a new mandate committed to supporting women with complex needs, and their children, who are fleeing and/or seeking support around their experiences of violence and abuse, struggles with substance use and mental and spiritual wellness.
Specifically, Durrant will provide a specialized transitional housing program designed for women who are seeking support to reduce or eliminate substance use but who are not yet ready for an intense residential treatment program. Length of stay is between 30 and 90 days. Durrant practices low-barrier protocols, which means women are not screened for mental health or substance use issues.
