About this service
Delivered in Clubs and in the community, BGC Okanagan programs for children and teens with special needs are designed to provide recreation and socialization experiences that promote physical, social and emotional learning, and teach life skills and independence. These programs embrace the principals of equality and inclusion, with a focus on the strengths and capabilities of the individual.
The Direct Support Stream provides service to children who need more support integrating into programs with an individual worker. Depending on the needs of the children workers may work 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3.
