About this service
The Community Garden Program aims to help residents live healthier, more stable lives and build a sense of community. Program staff work closely with resident gardeners and facilitate a number of workshops and garden-related activities, which can include anything from soil preparation, composting tips and techniques, to harvesting and preserving. The community garden initiative is currently operating at numerous Pacifica Housing residences and supportive housing facilities. Resident gardeners work with staff and are involved in all aspects of gardening from constructing raised beds through to planting, weeding and sowing.
