About this service
BladeRunners is a free, employment readiness program for people between the age of 17 to 30. Participants in the BladeRunners program are given support and mentorship for sustainable, long-term employment. The program consists of two weeks in the classroom, followed by one week of assisted job search. Participants can choose from either construction or hospitality.
The program provides job readiness and employability skills, assisted job search, ongoing support, and mentorship. In addition to a $200 completion bonus, breakfast and lunch are provided each day, along with bus tickets to enable program participation.
Job offers are provided to graduates from the program. If safety gear and tools are required, JHS of Victoria will help provide those needs. Program staff continue to support graduates even as they begin their independent work life. Graduates can also qualify for further training to enhance their work skills.
