About this service
We believe in womens capacity to recover their strength and grow their confidence and resilience for a better life. Our Victoria, Westshore and Sooke campuses offer a safe, confidential environment to help end isolation, and to learn & support each other in a classroom setting, while building personal & community supports.
We are trauma-informed, strength-based and women-centered in order to meet each woman where she is at without judgment or expectations.
Indigenous Womens Bridging Programs aim to inspire Métis and First Nations women, living in reserve communities and in urban areas, to break the cycles of abuse and trauma through counselling, cultural education and employment training. Group circles include sharing food and stories, and identifying interests and skills to develop long-term life and career goals. A variety of guest speakers, elders and field trips are also included.
