About this service
My group sessions are developed according to the needs of the children involved. By interacting with peers who often face similar challenges, the children will develop a support network. Our groups provide a safe place for youth, to tell their stories, express their feelings and practice new skills.
The participants will engage in a variety of activities that teach them skills to help them get along and participate more actively in school or in their family. In each session, a new tool will be introduced and practiced. The children will be challenged to take this new skill out into the world and practice, then return and reflect on their actions what worked and what didnt and what could be done differently the next time.
