About this organization
The Victoria Children's Centre is a licensed group child care centre, located downtown in the main Ministry of Health building. The Centre is licensed for 12 infants. Children may start at age 3 months, and will graduate no later than at the end of the month in which they turn 20 months. Because infants need time to grow comfortably in group care, the latest a child can enter is at the beginning of the month following their first birthday. The centre has four full-time caregivers, and adheres fully to all child care regulations.
Our program is funded through parent fees and subsidized by the Child Care Operating Funding Program. Victoria Children's Centre apply for additional funding through BC Gaming. We are listed with the Provincial Employees Community Service Fund, enabling us to receive funds through employee payroll deduction. Victoria Children's Centre Society is a registered charity, able to issue tax receipts for donations.
