About this service
The Howard House Mens Shelter is funded by BC Housing to provide high barrier emergency shelter in the Vernon area for those who are absolute homeless, who may be suffering from economic downturn, addictions and/or mental health challenges. Any homeless man over the age of 19 years of age is eligible to enter our shelter, depending on availability of space and whether certain basic criteria can be met. While staying at the shelter, residents can access life skills training, employment programs, counseling, 12-step groups, health and legal services through a community network.
