About this organization
North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS) provides end-of-life care to clients and their loved ones in the community and at Hospice House. Our Mission Statement is: NOHS exists so there will be quality end-of-life care for all in the North Okanagan community at a cost that demonstrates good stewardship.Services include: - 24 hour residential hospice palliative care at Hospice House with 12 bed capacity - Grief and bereavement services - Volunteer community outreach services - Advocacy and community education for quality end-of-life - Teaching and Practicum Student partnerships with universities - Healthcare professional partnership with Interior Health Authority - No-cost webinar series on end-of-life issues for hospice organizations in BC - Living Well/Dying Well workshops to promote advance care planning, to provide caregiver support and to educate the public and health care professional about end of life issues
