About this service
These programs provide supports and services to adults 19+ years of age who are diagnosed with FASD, ASD or a developmental disability. Programs are delivered based on the individuals needs and desired outcomes. Qualified Support Workers will assist with:
- Building self-confidence, decision-making skills, personal planning and self-determination
- Learning life skills such as cooking, nutrition, menu planning, grocery shopping, budgeting, household skills, and personal hygiene
- Practicing self-care through healthy coping strategies, self-regulation and communication skills
- Building relationships and personal support
- Participating in social and physical recreational activities with a group of peers, or connecting with the community through personal interests
- Accessing educational programs and employment
- Supporting individuals and families to promote inclusion and advocacy
- Accessing additional supports/resources and facilitate integrated and coordinated services
