About this service
Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals continue to face daily challenges and contend with issues of exclusion in employment, education and social settings due to communication barriers. Wavefront Centre provides Employment Counselling Services to support the well-being of Deaf and Hard of Hearing British Columbians.
Our Employment Counselling provides the following services:
- Employment counselling and supports
- Job Resource Centre (resume and interview preparation; job search; job readiness activities)
- Skills training short and long term
- Workplace assessments
- Workplace sensitivity training
- Disability supports applications (funding for assistive equipment such as hearing aids and alerting devices)
- Community presentations
- Employer and employee liaisons
