About this service
In 2020, as a response to the homelessness crisis and tent city in Oppenheimer Park, WAHRS stepped in to help keep the park clean. We have been sending out peers from our membership to work from Monday to Friday. WAHRS was also responsible for taking the names of the people in the park and creating a list of our peoples that required housing. COVID19 started and we changed to an emergency strategy and with the proper safety protocols in place we are back in the park. We are now helping people pack up that get housed from the list we created.
