About this service
A crisis can involve threat of serious injury or death, or threat to people; damage to environment, animals, property; threat to financial welfare as well as physical, sexual or emotional abuse. In times of crisis, intense mental and physical distress as well as feelings of fear, rage, isolation, and confusion are very common. BWSS offers immediate, short-term help to survivors of violence in intimate relationships, childhood sexual abuse and adult sexual assault.
Our Crisis Line is staffed by trained workers who are knowledgeable and compassionate. They provide emotional support and resources in the community, assess women in their coping strategies, highlight their strengths and help create a safety plan for women who are dealing with violence and/or the effects of abuse. Violence and abuse take away our power. We assist women who have experienced crisis in reclaiming power and making safe choices.

Vancouver- BWSS Crisis & Intake Line is open Monday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm; Wednesdays until 8 pm.
