About this service
UGM'S abstinence-based, live-in Alcohol & Drug Recovery Program for women focuses on healthy relationships, recovery management, life skills, and goal settings. The program helps women navigate and transition to recovery with compassionate support at our residential house, Lydia Home, in Mission. The program can accommodate up to 9 women at a time and is 3 months long.
The location in the Fraser Valley is intentional as women seeking recovery often come from dangerous situations within the DTES; a safer and more intimate environment has had a noticeable positive effect on their recovery. The women attend classes throughout the days, and are required to meet for weekly counselling sessions. Our female staff at Lydia Home are available to the women day or night for support, prayer, and encouragement.
