About this service

REACH Multicultural Family Centre has received funding from the United Way of the Lower Mainland (UWLM) and the UBC Active Aging Research Team (AART) for the REACH Seniors in Action project. Seniors from the Latin American and Vietnamese communities, and Indigenous elders will engage in regular social and physical activity routines that increase their social connections in their communities and promote health, wellbeing, and independence. The funds will support volunteer seniors teaching line dancing and ballroom dancing with the Vietnamese Health and Wellness program, volunteer seniors leading gentle exercises and providing workshops with the Latin American Seniors Social Club, and social/recreational activities with the Elders Craft Circle at Britannia.
