About this service
U-Link is for youth aged 13-18 who are in the care of the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD) and who require emergency or short-term (6-12 months) specialized residential care. Placements are typically 6-12 months in duration. An emergency call service is also available 24/7. It consists of rapid response to youth, caregiver or MCFD contacts in times of crisis, plus transportation services for any reason. Emergency services and placements are in accordance with the needs and instructions of MCFD personnel including Youth Justice and/or After Hours requests anytime day or night, including weekends.
