About this service
Our Outreach Support Workers play a critical role in supporting PIRS mission to support immigrant and refugee women and children to integrate into Canadian society. They are our voice in the communities we serve and they work with women of all ages and immigration status to create a relationship of trust.
Every day, they make a difference by:
- Promoting our classes and programs in their communities;
- Helping newcomers enroll and register in our programs;
- Offering first-language support to women in the class;
- Searching for resources to support newcomers;
- Helping newcomers navigate Canadian systems.
