About this service

PIRS programs work to support immigrant and refugee women to integrate into Canadian community life. The focus of the Outreach Support Worker position is to develop a relationship of trust in order to bridge isolated newcomer women to programs that will help them develop a sense of social inclusion and belonging.

Our goal is that participants feel included, that they experience life satisfaction and recognize the social and economic benefits of immigrating to Canada, and feel confident accessing public services and community resources, the workplace and that they make social and professional connections within the broader community.
