About this service
Located in the historic Woodwards development, this groundbreaking project integrates 125 units of low-income housing with market-rate condominiums, retail outlets, subsidized family units, shared public spaces and Simon Fraser Universitys Centre for the Arts. Of these units, 25 are designated specifically for clients of the Strathcona Community Mental Health Team; the remainder are home to a diverse group of mostly long-time Downtown Eastside residents.
There are five wheelchair-accessible units in the building and every suite contains its own washroom and full kitchen, providing residents with affordable independence in a supportive living environment. This includes PHS mental health workers, clinical support, home care and a food program. There are also recreation activities, a meeting room and a garden.
