About this service

The Indigenous Women Rise Drum Group is proud to represent all nations, and is proud to share good feelings through the drum and song.
The Pacific Association of First Nations Women has run its drum circle since the summer of 2018. The group started with a drum making workshop in the early Spring. The drum group started with a few women, but soon grew to 20+ women, we meet each Tuesday night at 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Each group starts with a meal, a circle and sharing of songs. In 2019 we started performing at various events including the Surrey Childrens Festival, Stanley Park Performance and more! The women who attend the circle have expressed that the drumming and singing is very healing and that they leave the drum circle feeling lifted both emotionally and spiritually.
