About this service
Outreach initiatives enhance our relationships with community members and other organizations within the Hastings Sunrise and North Grandview-Woodlands area.
HSCPC staff, volunteers and the Neighbourhood Police Officer attend many community events throughout the year, visiting schools, community centres and neighbourhood houses to give presentations and provide crime prevention and community policing information.
Events we organize or attend include Block Watch parties, community forums, safety fairs, senior safety workshops and mini POPATs (Police Officer Physical Abilities Tests).
