About this service
What do canning workshops, picnics, alley libraries, games nights, community gardens, sing-a-longs, and BBQs have in common? All of these events were organized by residents of the Downtown Peninsula, and were funded by the Neighbourhood Small Grants Program last year!
The Neighbourhood Small Grants program is based on a simple but powerful idea when people feel a sense of connection to their neighbourhood, a sense of belonging, they are more likely to be engaged in activities that make it a better place. And when people are active in the life of their neighbourhood, our communities are strengthened from the ground up.
