About this service
We provide individual addiction counselling to youth aged 13-24 as well as a range of prevention, early intervention and treatment services related to alcohol and other drugs. Group and family counselling is also available.
The youth addiction counsellor provides consultation, assessment, referral, case management, counselling and follow-up support for youth affected by addiction. The youth addiction counsellor liaises and consults with community services, including detox, residential treatment, specialized services for youth and other ministries. Some counsellors have areas of speciality including working with Aboriginal youth; street-involved youth; and/or lesbian, gay, bi, trans and Two-Spirit youth.
