About this service
The objective of Its All About M.E. (Mobile Education) is to take crime prevention education out of the classroom and onto the street by way of taking seniors on fieldtrips. Trained seniors and a Vancouver Police Officer working together will lead field trips around Vancouver using various modes of travel while practicing crime prevention strategies being taught along the way (e.g., how to carry a purse safely, how to cross the street safely). Each field trip will use some mode of public transportation and will include a visit to a local attraction or public event followed up with a light lunch.
The field trip will address various crime and safety concerns including:
- Public transit
- Purse safety
- Tactical Walking
- Aggressive people
- Traffic safety.
