About this service
Our Active Living Program (ALP) is a restorative care program that supports elders in the maintenance and development of strength, balance, range of motion (ROM), and independence.
Thanks to the work of our Restorative Care Workers (RCWs) under the guidance of the ALP Coordinator (a recreation therapist, fitness specialist) and consulting physiotherapist, we have seen our elders gain strength, confidence and skills. Elders improve their physical strength and balance in order to increase walking and independence, reduce risk of falls and change transfer status when receiving care support.
