About this service
Our transitional and supportive housing programs are for people who have received a "conditional discharge" from the BC Review Board. A conditional discharge means that a person found not criminally responsible for a crime, or unfit to stand trial due to a mental disorder, is now well enough to live in the community. They must still live where directed and participate in monitoring and ongoing treatment.
Most people who receive conditional discharges have already received treatment at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital.
