About this organization
The Window Community Art Shop opened its doors in November 2011. A program designed to encourage budding and seasoned local artist to sell their work in a beautiful gift shop and receive merchandising advice and retail sales experience.
The Window offers employment and mentorship programs to women from the DTES community, one of these programs involves the production of a line of aprons, tote bags and backpacks.
The studio has offered residents and community members classes in pottery, sewing, hand-dying, beading, soap making, jewellery making as well as business 101 classes and mentorship programs.
