Core Artist Live Work Co-Operative

CORE was specifically developed by artists working with the City of Vancouver to house low - and middle-income artists. Artists must be currently living in the area bounded by the waterfront on the north, Cambie Street on the west, Commercial Drive on the east and Terminal Ave. on the south.

Our pet-friendly, 30-unit co-op comprises 2 floors of the Edge development, located at the corner of Alexander and Gore Streets. Each 400- to 500-ft.square unit has a 9-foot ceiling, cement floor and built-in kitchen and bathroom. Most units have a generous balcony facing either south or east. Core members also have access to communal studios for work that involves hazardous materials or processes or amplified sound. Workrooms include metal shop, woodworking, ceramics studio, printmaking and music room, photo studio, exercise room, fume room, and meeting room, which has a sprung floor for dance activities.
