EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS: Operate a range of services and programs directed at helping people secure sustainable employment thereby reducing poverty. Programs include: Employment Program of BC, Skills Connect and Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants TRAINING SOLUTIONS: Provide accessible affordable training that strengthens employability options for individuals and addresses long term sustainability for organizations. Programs include: Mining and Refining for Women- The development of a mentorship program that improves the retention and advancement of women employed in non-traditional sectors. Stepping Out Bursary to provide support funding for low income women to engage in entry level training for career exploration. RESEARCH PROJECTS: Research related to poverty and labour market dynamics. Projects include: Mining and Refining for Women-Included a specific gender lens assessment, focus group and needs assessment. Poverty Reduction.
