About this service

The vision is that, not only will our individuals and coaches have an opportunity to try something new, we will also build and strengthen our social relationships and skills. These adventures also increase peoples opportunities for social success in the wider community as we have interesting stories to tell and a larger bank of common experiences to start and maintain friendships. The opportunity to dream and envision a bigger, better life is another benefit that has come about because of this group.

Adventure Awaits events have included hiking to local waterfalls, volcano and lava beds, a helicopter tour in the mountains, travel to Prince Rupert to attend the festival of lights, snow kayaking, snowshoeing, star gazing, and even a winter campout at a remote cabin in the woods. Plans are in the works for travel further afield as permitted by the Covid-19 situation.
