About this service
Not just a van. A lifeline for women on the street.
Our Surrey Mobile Assault Response Team Van will help women who need medical treatment after a sexual assault.
The stigma of sex work makes women easy targets for rape.
Survival sex work. Often women exchange sex for money. Food. Clothing. Shelter. And other basic necessities we take for granted.
Women often incur serious, or even life-threatening injuries in the attack. With your help, we can prevent women from falling through the cracks.
Stigma can make it hard to ask for help.
Lisa called us after she was assaulted. She wouldnt go to the hospital or the police unless we went with her. So we did. But we lost contact with her shortly after.
Our new SMART Van is a mobile crisis centre, which is an emergency van service for women who have been assaulted and are not able to go to the police for help.
