RCMP Surrey - City Center - Code Blue & Mini Blue

The Surrey RCMP has a multi-pronged approach to addressing youth issues and preventing youth from getting involved in crime. The Code Blue and Mini-Blue programs are proactive endeavours that help to build positive police-youth relationships through fitness. Both programs are a partnership between the Surrey RCMP and Surrey School District.

Code Blue, an after school fitness training program led by RCMP officers in select Surrey secondary schools. Police officers participate and engage students in grades 8-12 in physical activity workouts that resemble police officer training.

Mini-Blue program positively engages youth in grades 5, 6, and 7 (critical ages prior to grade 8 entry) with Surrey RCMP officers. The program focuses on relationship building and mentoring through fun physical activities, interactions and a short talking point. This gives participants a body and brain boost that sets them up for an afternoon of learning.
