About this service
STABILIZATION provides safe, shared accommodation, structured short stay for up to 3 to 6 weeks. Our focus is to improve participants access to and integration into services through assessment, care planning, motivational counseling, client matching, and service brokering.
This highly structured program focuses on the processes of stabilizing people from an addiction-based lifestyle and moving into a recovery-based one. It is funded by Fraser Health Authoritys Mental Health and Substance Use Services.
We Concentrate On:
- substance misuse awareness and education
- relapse prevention and health promotion training
- personal health care coaching
- stress management
- mindfulness
- emotional management training
- novel learning experiences to animate change including Humanities 101, creative writing, yoga, arts-based activities and volunteerism in the community
- educational upgrading
- employment assistance services
Who can use it?
Men and women 19 + who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to substance misuse.
